I can honestly say, graduating from the Australian College of Professional Styling was by far the best decision of my life.
Since the completing the course I have gone on to so many wonderful things. I was lucky enough to spend three of these years as one of the resident stylists at the Canberra Centre. This has enabled me to build a successful personal styling business (Styled by Francesca), build great networking relationships as well as create new opportunities.
From there I have gone on to coordinate and style large scale fashion parades and present style workshops to large national government departments. I have also styled TV commercials and photo shoots, which have been published in New York online magazines. I have been able to build a great portfolio.
I am so excited for what is still to come. I am grateful for everything I have learnt, for all the new friendships I have made, and especially for the all the opportunities that have come my way.
The Australian College of Professional Styling will give you all the tools that you will need to build a successful business in the fashion styling industry. Hands down – the best decision I have ever made.
“Since graduating from The Professional Photo, Film, TV & Personal Stylist’s Course several years ago, I’ve continued to work in the industry and to be paid for something I love to do! I am so excited to see what the future holds.”
Looking back I can say that studying at the Australian College of Professional Styling, was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Six years ago I was at a cross road. I had been a stay-at-home-mum for 10 years and I felt as though I needed to do something for myself. I remember hearing a story about a friend whose husband had bought her a voucher for a stylist to come to her home, go through her wardrobe and then take her shopping. It was a light bulb moment for me – “That’s exactly what I want to do for work”.
I started looking for styling schools. I was pregnant at the time, so it was important to find something that I could undertake online. That’s when I found the Australian College of Professional Styling.
Before I had even finished my studies, I had already picked up some assistant work. Starting off as an unpaid job, I went on to be a paid working assistant for a year. It was great. Then an opportunity came along for a resident stylist position at the Canberra Centre, which I have been associated with for the last 5 years. It’s been a great platform for me. It’s enabled me to style hundreds of clients, perform workshops, coordinate fashion parades and assist with visual merchandising. I have also had the pleasure of working with some of the best photographers and models in the industry with some of the images being published.
Since graduating several years ago, I’ve continued to work in the industry and to be paid for something I love to do! I am so excited to see what the future holds.
I am forever grateful to the Australian College of Professional Styling.
